CONCERIA BERNARDO FINCO S.p.A.
ADELAIDE S.p.A.
BY FINCO S.r.l.

The FINCO tannery,  which  includes  CONCERIA  BERNARDO FINCO S.p.A.,      ADELAIDE S.p.A. and BY FINCO S.r.l., is currently located in the Vicenza tannery area,  70 Km from the Venice airport, 30 Km from the city of Vicenza, at the mouth of the Valsugana valley connecting it with Trento and the Brenner Pass.

The group's activity originated from the alpine tradition of vegetable hide processing  (using bark tannins) and the first production unit was formally established in 1865.

Up to the 1920's it remained at its original site on the Asiago Plateau, but later it moved to the plains following the development of new tanning processes of German origin, including, in the 1940's, chrome tanning. The company also operated a similar production facility in Struppa, in the Liguria region.

The 50's and 60's saw the gradual establishment of the Italian tanning industry as a producer of technically advanced, high quality leathers. Concurrently, the first concerns over the ecological impact of the tanning sector were being voiced.

During the 70's
CONCERIA BERNARDO FINCO, which had become a limited partnership, installed its own water purification plant,  thus anticipating the provisions of the  " Merli  Act  n° 319 of 1976".

In 1981
ADELAIDE S.p.A. was founded, with its registered office in Arzignano: its goal was to expand the manufacture of technical products different from those of the original plant.  It is currently set up as a limited liability company with 1 billion lire capital stock.

In February 2000 it obtained quality certification in compliance with ISO UNI EN 9002 for product marketing.

In 1990
BY FIN was founded, later renamed BY FINCO, which is the manufacturing heart of the three companies.

Overall sales for 1999 was approximately 40 billion lire, with a current staff of about seventy employees operating on 17,000 square meters of grounds and 9,000 square meters of covered area.

CBF S.p.A. was awarded in 1971 and 1985 the gold medal for exports by the Chamber of Commerce of Vicenza.

It is one of the founding members of the Vicenza Industrial Association.

The group exports to 37 countries, with an average 68% in the footwear, clothing, leather goods, furniture, car, aeroplane and railway carriage upholstery sectors.

Over a century of tradition and experience has enabled this group to anticipate market trends and developments in the dynamic world of leather.

A synthesis of work and technology capable of continuously satisfying customers' expectations.
